Flingers Save the World covers one of the enemies that can turn an ordinary mission into a mess if it is ignored. Flingers is much more important than a normal Husk because its behaviour can pressure players, structures or the objective in ways that basic enemies cannot.

Flingers are special ranged enemies that stay away from the main walls and throw Husks toward or onto your defence. Their attack pattern is easy to miss when everybody is staring at a trap tunnel on the ground.

They are most noticeable during defence missions where they can find a long ranged angle onto the fort. Terrain, cliffs and open sides can let a Flinger operate far enough away that players do not see it until Husks begin landing inside the build.
Why Flingers is dangerous
The danger is that a good ground defence can be bypassed. Husks dropped onto a roof or behind the main tunnel create pressure in a place your traps and walls were not designed to handle, and repeated throws can pull players away from the actual storm lane.
How to deal with Flingers
Listen and look for the source of thrown enemies, then send a player to remove the Flinger rather than endlessly killing whatever lands inside. Roof protection and anti-air style defensive thinking help, but killing the source is usually the cleanest answer when it has a clear attack angle.
- Mark or call out the threat when playing with other people.
- Fight it before it reaches the centre of the objective defence.
- Keep line of sight when possible so it cannot attack structures for free.
- Use burst damage and crowd control when the enemy is creating immediate pressure.
When to prioritise Flingers
Prioritise a Flinger when it has begun dropping Husks into the objective area or onto a vulnerable roof. If it has no usable angle and your structure is blocking the throws, deal with the enemies already attacking the walls first.

A good fort gives you time to react. Trap tunnels, layered walls, clear firing positions and sensible pathing make Flingers Save the World easier because the enemy has fewer opportunities to reach the objective untouched. Do not create a maze that blocks your own shots or makes it difficult to reach the side being attacked.
