Smashers Save the World Guide
Smashers Save the World covers one of the enemies that can turn an ordinary mission into a mess if it is ignored. Smashers is much more important than a normal Husk because its behaviour can pressure players, structures or the objective in ways that basic enemies cannot.
Learning Smashers Save the World is mainly about recognising the enemy quickly and reacting before it gets value. You do not need a perfect endgame loadout, but you do need to know what the threat is trying to do and which part of your defence it can punish.
How to recognise Smashers

Smashers are huge Mist Monsters built around direct pressure. Their size makes them easy to identify, and when they line up a charge toward player structures or the objective you should treat that as an immediate warning rather than background combat.
Where Smashers appears
They appear across mission defences, Encampments, Ventures, Storm Shields and other combat activities. As Power Level rises, their health and the damage caused by letting them reach the fort make them increasingly expensive to ignore.
Why Smashers is dangerous
A Smasher can tear open a route that allows the rest of the wave to pour into the objective. Even when traps are handling normal Husks perfectly, one unchecked charge can remove key structures or force the whole team into emergency repairs.
How to deal with Smashers
Use strong single-target damage, impact, crowd control and focused team fire before the Smasher reaches the centre of the build. Keep your firing line clear and avoid standing where the charge can carry the threat deeper into the objective area.
- Mark or call out the threat when playing with other people.
- Fight it before it reaches the centre of the objective defence.
- Keep line of sight when possible so it cannot attack structures for free.
- Use burst damage and crowd control when the enemy is creating immediate pressure.
When to prioritise Smashers
A Smasher approaching an exposed objective wall is usually a higher priority than basic Husks walking through a working trap lane. If it is controlled, far away or already being focused by teammates, you can briefly clear other threats and then return to it.
As missions scale into Canny Valley, Twine Peaks and Ventures, Smashers Save the World becomes increasingly important because a single dangerous enemy can open a defence for the rest of the wave. Strong players still clear normal Husks, but they constantly scan for Mist Monsters and other special threats that need a faster response.
Build with dangerous enemies in mind
A good fort gives you time to react. Trap tunnels, layered walls, clear firing positions and sensible pathing make Smashers Save the World easier because the enemy has fewer opportunities to reach the objective untouched. Do not create a maze that blocks your own shots or makes it difficult to reach the side being attacked.

If you are learning Smashers Save the World, spend the first minute reading the terrain before committing large amounts of building material.
The biggest improvement in Smashers Save the World usually comes from preparing for the objective instead of reacting after the Husks are already on top of it.
Public groups can make Smashers Save the World faster, but a clear build and sensible target priority still matter even with four players.
As Power Level rises, Smashers Save the World rewards players who combine weapon damage, abilities and traps rather than relying on only one part of a loadout.
Smashers Save the World also becomes easier when you arrive with enough ammunition, building materials and crafting ingredients to finish the mission without a farming detour. Check your backpack before launch, keep one reliable weapon for normal Husks and save your strongest burst damage for Mist Monsters or other threats that can disrupt the objective. That small amount of preparation is especially useful in Canny Valley, Twine Peaks and Ventures, where a weak setup can turn a straightforward objective into a much longer fight.
