How to Unlock Mythic Storm King in Save the World

If you are trying to unlock Mythic Storm King in Save the World, the normal progression route is Twine Peaks Storm Shield Defense 5, the one-time King Me quest, then Regicide. The public Mythic Storm King mission is a Power Level 122 endgame activity, so simply reaching Twine Peaks is not enough.

The important distinction is between unlocking the quest and being able to queue the fight normally. You can finish Twine SSD 5 and see the prerequisite chain before your account is ready to enter the Power Level 122 portal. That is why players sometimes have Regicide in the quest log but cannot find a usable mission node.

Complete Twine Peaks Storm Shield Defense 5.
Open your quests and find King Me. The first King Me objective is to eliminate two Mini-Bosses in successful Power Level 140+ missions.
Finish King Me to unlock the one-time Regicide quest.
Reach Power Level 122 if you want normal public access to the Mythic Storm King portal.
Open Twine Peaks and select the Storm King portal at the end of the zone.
Complete Regicide by defeating the Mythic Storm King and collecting the Mythic Schematic Cache.

What Twine SSD 5 actually unlocks

Twine Peaks Storm Shield Defense 5 is the progression gate that starts the one-time quest chain used to unlock Mythic Storm King. SSD 5 does not award a weapon by itself and it does not replace the King Me objective. After the defense is complete, check the quest list rather than repeatedly replaying the Storm Shield.

The first prerequisite is designed to prove that your account can handle high-level Mini-Boss content. Complete it in successful 140+ missions. If the mission fails, do not assume the Mini-Boss elimination has been banked; verify the quest counter after returning to Homebase.

Why Power Level 122 matters

Power Level 122 is the normal threshold attached to public access for the Mythic version of Enter the Portal. If you are below it, you can have the quest chain and still be unable to launch the fight through ordinary matchmaking. For players trying to unlock Mythic Storm King, this is the most common reason the portal appears to be missing.

Raise Power Level through Survivor squads and Research, not Commander Level. Commander Level can unlock account upgrades, but the number that matters for the Mythic Storm King mission is your Homebase Power Level.

Do not confuse the Canny Storm King with the Mythic fight

The Canny Valley Storm King is a separate story boss around Power Level 70. Beating that version completes Canny campaign progression but does not unlock Mythic Storm King weapons. The Mythic encounter is the Twine Peaks version tied to King Me, Regicide and the weekly Scions loop.

If the portal is still missing

When you have completed SSD 5 but cannot unlock Mythic Storm King, check the quest chain in order: King Me first, Regicide second, then the portal. If Regicide is active but the public mission still cannot be selected, check that your current Power Level is 122 or higher after any Survivor squad changes.

Also make sure you are looking at Twine Peaks rather than Canny Valley. The two fights share Storm King naming, which causes a surprising amount of confusion for returning players.
